melannrosenthal 's review for:
Another Brooklyn
by Jacqueline Woodson
B E A U T I F U L
Does anyone ever wish a book would be LONGER? I never feel that way, but about this book, Woodson's lovely prose and heartfelt story- I do! Wow. Just under 3 hours of audio and yet it so captured me and brought me to 1970's Brooklyn and August's transition from a sheltered life, slowly breaking free into a more normal teenage existence in the city.
I need to immediately buy a paperback copy and mark up all of my favorite lines.
