This book was...how do I put this?...well this book was phenomenal beyond words! I can't begin to describe all the things I loved about this book. To start, I loved Cistine's character development; she went from a spoiled brat princess to a badass warrior. I love her! I also loved how Cistine and Julian's relationship isn't perfect like in most fantasy ya novels (they get into a pretty big argument). And don't get me started on how every single person in the Cabel is wonderfully developed and not just side characters that help move the plot along.
I absolutely love how the book was written and I think this is some of the best world building I have ever read. Renee Dugan did an incredible job with this story and the characters, and I can't wait to read what she does next!
