Overview: After reading and enjoying the first book I was looking forward to reading this one and I have to say that I really enjoyed it too! A great Christmas read full of suspense and a great plot (I thought although some from the buddy read felt it was repetitive). Yes, there were some dull bits but I didn't guess the killer although I did guess the big twist. All in all a decent crime thriller and I shall be reading any future books from this author.

Good Points: A decent plot and threw the reader into the deep end from the start. Had a proper creepy vibe about it too and as soon as I read the first page something happened that made me happy. The character of James is growing on me too although he is still a bit stiff and formal. A great twist and an enjoyable read.

Not so Good Points: I did guess the twist and some of the characters are still a bit...unimportant. The main issue I had was one of the previous plots that was brought over from the first book. It felt a bit random and the ending felt rushed.

But overall I thoroughly recommend this read for anyone who enjoys thrillers!
