Really graphic torture scene!  Several sex scenes; religion including loss of faith; homophobic setting

At 642 pages, there is a LOT of this book to review, but I will edit far more than the author did.

Things I liked: giant talking cats, Wisteria the neurospicy FMC, the general structure and detail of society.

Things I'm not sure about: the religious content (MMC1 has healing powers from the Savior, they live in Paradise after a Regency-era Christian-style Rapture), the fact that it's a love triangle for the majority of the book with established M/M, separately developing relationships with awesome Wisteria.

Things I didn't like: see CWs!!  MMCs had so many communication issues!  The class system was well-described, but including how shit it is for working class people.  Only turned poly at the end, not what I'd hoped for.  PTSD as a temporary plot point.  Most mental illnesses are curable.  Spice was a little clinical, and well under 5% of the book.

Overall: hmmm ... it is well-written, if in need of a sword-wielding editor, and does romp along nicely.  The setting is interesting and unusual, and the religion is embedded, not an afterthought.  However, I'm not sure if this might not be Christian lit?  Went over my atheist head if so, hehe.
Has sent me on a quest for more ongoing-poly fiction ... but if that's the rep you're after, this isn't the one.
