This wasn't my favorite of theirs. I don't think anything can beat The Soulmate Equation or Love and Other Words, but I wanted to see if this new CLo book would live up to the hype. It just didn't do it for me, for a variety of reasons. I did love the fun adventure and the interesting concept, as I've never read anything like it in that respect. But, despite the fun adventure, it fell flat for me. I didn't think there was any palpable chemistry between Lily and Leo and no signature banter that I've come to expect from CLo and their writing. It just didn't capture me at all. Also, Terry?! Huge jerk and I'm not sure why he was even on this trip, so yeah, I was super glad when he *went over* but... it was weird how everyone just sort of moved on and then didn't discuss it further? Like a death didn't matter? Lily and Leo had sex not long after and it just seemed like weird timing. Terry was a misogynist and was really annoying from the start. I don't know, it was all just kind of a mess and I thought it all could be better with the potential it had, but unfortunately, it just wasn't their best.
