I learned who Katherine Ryan is while watching 8 Out of 10 Cats clips and episodes on YouTube. It's a British panel show where comedians, etc. join together and compete on a version of Countdown or chat about current events, hosted by Jimmy Carr. I then recently-ish watched her Netflix show called The Duchess, so when I saw her new memoir and learned she also lives with chronic illness and is originally from Canada, I wanted to read it. She is unapologetically who she appears to be, which I appreciate about her, and I enjoyed learning more about her and the life she's lived that is so different from my own.
