Doomsday Clock #6: Truly Laugh
by Geoff Johns
Whoa, this issue came out of nowhere and really impressed me. This might be my favorite issue so far.
Mime and Marionette get their backstory in this one. I was really impressed with it as I actually got some emotion from their backgrounds. Up until now I found them a little over the top and too "joker" style but here I found out why and when they became who they were and it made sense. Far more realistic way of becoming killers in this world than the comic world. Also, the plot moves forward as we have some major characters pushing the narrative, mostly our best friend the Comedian doing his murdering thing. I like the contrast between the villains in the DC Universe and Watchmen and how much more brutal and effective the killing is from the Watchmen characters. Overall, a easy 4.5 out of 5.
