Storm Warning
by Nellie Wilson
I have come to the realization that I will love EVERYTHING that Nellie Wilson writes.
Her characters have this incredible realness and depth that I crave in books. They have flaws and immense personality that helps me clearly see them as real people. Julian and Violet were no different.
I am also a sucker for second chance romance (with strong communication), dual point of view, and dual timeline. I really loved how the dual timeline gave us a strong overview of their past relationship/interactions.
Julian and Violet have a passion for the weather - tornadoes, storm cells, and seeing them in person (safely of course). So when an opportunity comes up to work with two YouTuber influencers to share their passion with the world, Violet jumps at the chance. Only to discover that Julian is also asked to join them - who just so happens to be a moral enemy of hers.
It broke me the way that the YouTubers referred to Violet, because they are convinced that women are just meant to be pretty on their channel when Violet is out to show the world that women BELONG in science.
My only complaint about the book? The fact that its a novella. I wanted more of Julian and Violet. More of their past, present, and future. I also wanted more of their tornado chasing adventures. I’m crossing fingers that Nellie will decide to write more of them because I want to read all of their tornado chasing adventures.
