When in Rome by Sarah Adams
5.0

THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! I was so excited for this book because although I have never read anything by this author, this came highly recommended and features some of my favorite tropes like grumpy/sunshine, celebrity goes into hiding for some reason, meet cute, small town romance, slow burn, etc. It was so worth it. It was easily five stars for me early on, because the writing and the tone of it was something I really like, and really engrossed me from the start. Sarah Adams is a great writer, and the world building with her secondary characters and small town that she does is unmatched. I just FELT like I was in Rome, Kentucky alongside everyone else. The sexual tension and chemistry between Amelia and Noah was so palpable and I was just waiting with bated breath for them to finally give in and get together because oh my goodness, they were so cute and adorable and steamy with each other, despite the fact that they claimed they didn't like each other, wouldn't be friends and certainly wouldn't fall for each other. But we all know how that goes, right? And Noah Walker? He's the ideal book boyfriend. He is perfection. He is the moment! You will fall for him, mark my words.

PIES, FLOWERS AND BOOKS. *insert heart eyes here*

My only critique is that there was so much sexual tension in this book that I figured the sex scenes would be explosive and awesome, but they actually ended up being fade to black, closed door. So, we don't actually see anything occur between the two of them; the most we see is making out and very slight touching. However, do not let this deter you from reading this wonderful book! This is just my preference (I want smut) and a heads up to others who may be expecting that. It's still an amazing book that I wholeheartedly loved and adored.
