The Kiss by M. Robinson
4.0

ARC received for an honest review

I have been on the M Robinson train since her first release, and I will read everything she writes.

The Kiss is her first foray into the rom-com market, and whilst I enjoyed the story, it didn't really have a rom-com feel to me.

Don't get me wrong, there were times when I did laugh otu loud, but to me, this was more like her regular stories, but in the angst-light category (if you have read any of her tales before, you know how they are angsty AF).

I also got a vibe like the Good Ol' Boys series, with the friendships between the guys and the girl.

Except these guys didn't really mature as the got older (to me anyways). They were still acting like teenage boys snickerig about sex all the time, which got a little tiresome for this old duck.

I do love a best friends to lovers story, and I loved how everyone could see it but Mila and Leo - and even loved the ways they tried to get them to remove their heads from sphincters and go for it.

Whilst not my favourite M. Robinson book to date, it was a good read, it just missed the rom-com mark for me.

Now I need the other guys books, STAT!
