It was a nice story.
I guess I'm just not the audience it was aimed at.
I've heard that other books of Dahl's are better than this one, that this was one of his earlier stories.
it's pretty cool how he's included little points which allude to his other stories which he hadn't actually written when this book came out (eg. the whole chapter about THE BFG, the scenes inside the school, the mention of a witch, and the sentence "He looked like a boy who had just found out the world was made of chocolate).
I did like the overall message of it : go and do something crazy and unexpected, and have fun doing it.
This is the first Roald Dahl book I've actually read - I've listened to audio tapes, I've had them read to me, I'm watched the movies, but I've never read on myself. Well, now I have!
