This was a cute read with a slow burn YA romance. I still feel that Pepper's mom was all kinds of wrong and that her redemption wasn't apparent enough but that was more towards how she treated her daughter. Going after Sam in the recipe battle was a bit warranted when it all came to light.

But I did enjoy Pepper and Jack and how they were enemies than friends than more. Also massive props to the development of the friendship between Pooja and Pepper. Honestly I enjoyed that as much as the romantic relationship because I feel that those types of relationships are super important to foster.

Good cute read. Would recommend.
