Birthright, Vol. 2: Call to Adventure
by Joshua Williamson
Man oh man, it's hard to find someone to root for in this series.
Everyone seems like a dick. Everyone who is "good" has some evil plotting behind them. The glimpses into the past, about Mikey growing up, is real interesting. I also still love the art, I think it's solid as hell.
However the story feels all over the place. One second they're heading out to hunt. Next they're near a small town. The brothers together feel "okay" I never feel the real love of brothers there. The parents, which were great in the last volume, are barely here now.
It's a fun entertaining read but everytime I finish I can't help but feel "man this could be amazing" but I'll probably check out volume 3 regardless.
