Just wow. The Song of Achilles was an incredible book.

I read Circe right after it was published, but had never gotten around to this one despite its being on my tbr list forever. Now I am kicking myself that it took me song long to read it. I can say that I will be rereading this in the future.

This retelling of Achilles, narrated by Patroclus, focuses on the relationship between the two, the Trojan War, and what it means to be “the best of all the Greeks” as Achilles has been dubbed.

Beautifully written, immensely moving, action packed, and immersed in the world of Greek mythology, this book just hit had it all.
