This was a heartfelt read with some truly beautiful moments, but it didn’t completely win me over.

Let’s start with Bo—he’s the ultimate golden retriever of a love interest! His warmth, patience, and dedication to Win are swoon-worthy, and their relationship had its moments of depth. I also appreciated the core message of the story about healing, found family, and self-discovery.

That said, there were some things that didn’t quite resonate with me. 
While the romance had a sweet build-up, it felt rushed at times and leaned too heavily on physical attraction—did we really need a mention of Win’s chest every time? I was also left wanting more resolution when it came to

Win and her mom’s complicated relationship. The lack of exploration into its impact, combined with the rushed resolution at the end, left that part of the story feeling incomplete

 

And can we talk about the Cora-Bo situation? The inconsistency in their breakup story—was it mutual, or did she just leave?—felt like a loose thread that no one tugged on

 

Overall, Out on a Limb is a good story with a good message, but it left me with mixed feelings. I enjoyed the ride, but there were moments that held me back from giving it a higher rating. If you’re looking for a feel-good story with a sprinkle of emotional depth, this might be a great pick for you!
