Blood, Bones, and Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef
by Gabrielle Hamilton
This memoir goes deep in the descriptions of food, spending some chapters just listing and describing dishes, ingredients, flavors. That wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I loved it. The later chapters more focused on Hamilton starting her own family were interesting in a different way as well, although I can't imagine putting out there something so honest in negative feelings.
