A promising start to a new series! The cookies sounded amazing, I really enjoyed Mallory as a character and I enjoyed the set-up of the mystery. It was our classic setup with plenty of suspects and I had a fun time narrowing them down. Not super obvious so it wasn't boring. There is a possible future love interest which I don't personally care about buuut it's there.
