It was a fun ride. Sadly, I was not invested in the romance, which made a few things less impactful for me. Additionally, I got a little annoyed because I realized that a lot of the time, the characters have to rely on information other people found out. They get told a huge dumb of information by someone and then deal with it. I would've liked it more if the characters themselves would've been in the situation to find out information first hand. At one point I was even a little afraid that a certain information
(June telling day about the plans of the new elect, I feared he'd just "roll with it")
would be accepted without any second guessing because there's so much relying on other people's info. Luckily that wasn't the case and it led to an interesting conflict between the characters (though it was resolved very fast).

There's also a huge revelation on what the world outside of our setting is like, which was very interesting, but nothing is done with that. Probably because the story is moving so fast and twisty that the time wasn't there to explore it, maybe that happens in the next book. But if it stays like this, I'm very sad that these cool things were thought of, just to then shrink our perspective again. I get that there really wasn't time to care that much in the situation they were in, still a little sad.

I have not figured out yet if a few things that would've liked to be explored more are explored more if you read the book instead of listening to the (german) audio book, because I don't know whether the audio book was shortened or not.
