I found the narration extremely off-putting. It felt like the author was more interested in blowing smoke up his own behind than focusing on his observations. Not to mention that the science is questionable, with much exaggeration and anthropomorphism.

I do appreciate the reception and good that this book did in regards to the publics understanding of wolves, but I can't say I would recommend this book.
