What an amazing first book in the series! I really loved these two, the Van Doren family as well as the friend group. I honestly loved all the characters and the ones I didn't, well they were handled by Loren.

Loren, Loren, Loren, he is straight up a walking red flag. 
He is obsessive.
He is possessive.
He is a sociopath.
He is absolutely unhinged.
but he is also so sweet and kind to Oakley and willing to learn new things to make sure that Oakley is and will always be happy.

Oakley is just the sweetest man and always see's the positive in everyone. Even when they are a walking, talking, breathing red flag like Loren. I loved how Oakley accepted Loren as he was and loved him for that. He never once asked him to change any part of him and in turn Oakley got the love that he truly deserved.

I am so excited to get more on the Van Doren family and Oakley's friend group!!!!
