another graphic novel that wasn’t for me.
i don’t know if it was the art that wasn’t my personal taste and the lack of actual real story to back up what and why things where happening but i struggled with this.
i did not understand why not one person ever questioned what happened or why boys couldn’t learn witchcraft if they were interested.
because the reasons given? pretty overly simplified and stupid?
also from the first page on an didn’t know exactly what i was supposed to think of the main character?
was he interested in learning spells simply because he was interested? (which, great! no problem here!)
or was he supposed to be struggling with being seen as female? (again no problem here but why not just say that?!) because that would explain his more feminine looks compared to the rest of nee „men“ on this’d
but if that wasn’t the case why make him like that?
also the reasoning behind this entire plot?
not for me.
so nothing really worked for me because some things where too simple and too easy to just think for a second about and notice that it makes not a huge amount to no sense with what’s going on.
all in all?
sorry not gor me for too many reasons maybe mainly the firmst but i honestly mostly that it just wasn’t a story itself that worked for me as it was told.
