Batwoman: Elegy by J.H. Williams III, Greg Rucka
4.0

I'm rather new to batwoman and her story. Only knew the alternative version of bombshells. This was a great way for me to start. It shows Kate Kane's path, it speaks openly about her being a lesbian without making it the centerpiece of her struggle and it's a way grounded.

the parts that I didn't like: the villain in this one is too much of a joker type and the connection between the both is a bit too...well..too much of a coincidence. Kate's soldierism was also too much for me. but maybe that's just because I personally am not a fan of military stuff.

The art by Williams III. is great, especially with the layout of the panels. However, what makes it really stunning is Dave Stewarts colouring. Batwoman's black and red is like a storm of blood and force.
