» PLOT «

Between life and death there is a library. Filled with an infinite amount of books of every action, regret, and event that has happened, could happen, or never happened, Nora gets to explore all of her regrets and see what her life could've been, had she made different choices.

I had high hopes for this book, but then I found our that this book contains the "mistaken identity" trope and my hopes fell. Regardless I chose to read this book anyways and the first half was disappointing to say the least. I'm not the kind to try and find deep meaning from the books I read, but Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe managed to get me to think. This book did not do that.

However, the ending and last 15-20% of this book was really good. It was less depressing and more hopeful.

» READABILITY «

The first 75% was pretty slow and hard to get through, but the last 25% was better. The fact that this took me a month to read says a lot.

» CHARACTERS «

I did not like the main character. I know she was supposed to be a hot mess, but for a roughly 30-year-old woman, she does not act like one.

» WRITING «

There wasn't anything really special about the writing, and like I stated before, not all of the book was easy to get through. I feel like the writing got better as time went on.

» OVERALL «

This may seem like a shitty nitpick, but while I appreciate the short chapters, the formatting/style of the book was ass (and aesthetically unappealing).
