This debut novel was a very quick, light and easy read. I was very pleased with the amount of Black characters in book and I enjoyed going along for the ride with Chloe as she pursued the steps she needed to take to achieve her dreams.

Personally I think this book reads similar to a young adult/teen movie, maybe on Disney or Nickelodeon, which actually made me enjoy the book more once I got into that mindset. I could very easily see this being adapted to a screen format.

I read this book very fast as I was interested to see where each page would take me. Overall I enjoyed the book and think each character (even the ones we see very little of) were fleshed out nicely and they all felt important to the plot.

The ending could have been better but still a cute book!
