Luci's Lullaby
by Leaona Luxx
Luci’s Lullaby is another fantastic book by Leaona Luxx. Not only is the cover insanely gorgeous but the story is so beautiful. It is steamy, it’s fully heartbreak, loss, love and everything in between. Definitely have your tissues ready because you will need them!
Alden and Charlee bumped into each other while in high school, and I mean that in the literal sense. Charlee, though two grades ahead of Alden, had a massive crush on him. She would watch him play his guitar and sing down the river. She didn’t think she would ever see the boy she fell in love with again when her family moved away to be closer to her uncle while her mom was battling cancer. Alden knew there was something different, something special about this girl and that he needed to talk to her, only he couldn’t find her at school to do so. As a high school freshman, his life changed forever when tragedy struck.
Now, 13 years later Alden has moved and is playing music and starting to make a name for himself when a girl walks into where he is playing and he has that feeling again. Charlee recognizes Alden instantly but won’t admit to him. The two end up spending the night together, but due to his player ways, they decide maybe it’s best to be friends.
Tragedy strucks Alden’s life again but he gains something just as precious, sweet baby Luci. Luci not only steals Alden’s heart, but also Charlee’s. As the chemistry continues to building between Alden and Charlee and his fame continues to build will they be able to withstand the pressure of a new relationship and all the issues life throws at them?
I also love going back to Cherry grove and getting back in touch with all of my favorites. This book, like all the others, did not disappoint. I always look forward to new books from this author. If you love strong chemistry between characters and emotional stories then this one is definitely for you.
