Wow. This book pulled at every heart string and brought me into a world that I needed to know more about. One thing I love most about books is the immersion into the world and the characters. It can be a whole new world, like Harry Potter, or it can be into real life. This book brought you into Starr's world and her life. It was eye-opening and honest. I want more people to read this book. I honestly did not watch the movie because I thought it would be too hard to watch. We need more books like The Hate U Give so we can have less hate, less judging, less ridiculousness in the way we treat each other.
