The Hating Game
by Sally Thorne
funny
lighthearted
fast-paced
The line between hate and love is very thin and that's at the heart of this book.
Josh and Lucy both work as assistants to Ceo's of a merged book publishing company. They hate each other. They play little games while sitting across from one another day after day after day.
Then as they are both up for the same promotion, they decide that maybe they can try to be friends. After all, one of them might be the boss of the other soon.
I love the way these two interact with each other. Josh can be smug but Lucy is downright hilarious!
I enjoyed the banter, the barbs, and the steam level. I can't wait to watch the Netflix show
