TESS OF THE ROAD by Rachel Hartman
Published: 2018
Genre: Fantasy
Age-range: Young Adult
Series: #1
Pages: 521
Themes:teenage pregnancy, losing a child , a world that surpresses females
Setting: Kingdom of Goredd
RATING
Main character: 8 Tess
Side characters: 8 Names of ones I liked
Writing: 8
Plot: 7
Enjoyment: 8
Atmosphere: 8
Intrigue: 7
Total: 7,74 --- 4 stars
Notes: I haven't read Seraphina and it didn't hinder my enjoyment, the main character could be a bit unlikable, especially in the beginning because theoretically the whole book could have been skipped if the main character would have accepted an offer, but the book is not about the plot - not at all - its about Tess and her growing into herself and coping with her past, she has a lot to deal with, I enjoyed reading about the Quigutl companion, it was a very slow read but the audiobook really made me like this more
Read: 29.11.2018
Fun Fact: it has a cast of characters page (or three :D) and a glossary
