reread!!!! I read this book for the first time last year and reread this year so I could annotate a copy for my friend Patrick for this birthday! turned out to not be a very annotatable book lmao cause there wasn't a lot of very profound things it was just very witty. I will just say that this book is not for everyone and I just love reading about really fucked up women doing really fucked up shit!!! this is my american psycho!!!!! one thing that I've realised in writing reviews is that I base a lot of my enjoyment on whether the characters feel real to me. it doesn't matter if they're in super unrealistic situations or crazy shit is happening like in romances or fantasy stories, as long as they are reacting like humans and I feel like I understand them and their motivations/their personalities, I will most likely like the book even if there are other flaws. this is a perfect example of that, this is such an excellent book because I feel like I have met every single of these people. while this book will become very much of it's time in a few years (not that that's a bad thing!! I love that this really captures the late 2010s/early 2020s!) I think it will always be hilarious and being able to make you root for a main character as terrible (but hilarious) as this one is no small feat!!!! slay eliza clark!! I can't wait to read your new book once it comes out in a reasonably sized and reasonably priced edition! slay! 4.5, stars
