What strikes you the most as you read this incredibly diverse and well written collection is the similarities between the stories, the collective hurt and anger and violence manifested in so many ways and the lingering trauma that scatters itself like the bones in an ancient burial site. It is not a new story but a necessary one to be told again and again.
