I hated Mitch with a passion, I really did not think he had a good bone in his body. My goodness was I proved wrong in so many ways and I am so happy that I was. Mitch has so many layers to him. He is so much more than his hatred and the best part was that he recognized it and began to make changed not only for himself but for his relationships with his brothers as well. 

Gideon, was just what Mitch needed, he didn't put up with his crap and he pushed him out of his comfort zone which is exactly what Mitch needed in order to start to grow to be a better person. The push and pull between them was so strong and Mitch was so angry at the world that he definitely pushed Gideon away so many times that I really thought that one time he was going to go too far but I'm so happy that Gideon never gave up on him. 

I loved all of the appearances of so many other characters and what an impact they had on Mitch and his healing. Mitch went through so much and learned so much about himself over the course of his story that it was heartbreaking at times but definitely the path he needed to take. He definitely redeemed himself!!!!
