First Impressions
Love Redesigned is the first book in her latest series "Lakefront Billionaires" and this series is set in Michigan which was interesting, not too many books are set in Michigan. I found this book to be interesting. It still has the same flair for drama and angst and many laughs along the way. Its the theme of a enemies to lovers a bit....they are rivals in many ways and apparently have forgotten that they are adults now with some of the pranks they have, but the audio was stellar and kept me really going with it. There is a strong focus on family in this, it does have slight political undertones but it wasn't enough for me to want to stop reading it. And surprisingly the third act worked how I wanted it to but man the author had me worried there for a moment. And it did have some genuine diversity I found refreshing. I loved the Latino themes that are displayed in here.
First Line
I'm about ten seconds away from losing my goddamn mind and I have the painfully slow driver clogging up the only road into town to blame.
The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Dahlia Munoz
The Heroine: Julian Lopez
Summary
Dahlia Munoz left home to build a fancy career in California and chose another man other than Julian when Julian let his own grief and pride get in the way of claiming her for himself. But after a two year engagement, her fiancee dumps her when learning she can't ever have children due to a disease that would make it almost impossible to have a healthy child. Even though she is devastated what is worse is how she was betrayed by the one man she thought she could trust. She now heads home after being abandoned by her production team for her hit home redesign tv series. Where she meets her rival and the other man who had her heart and hurt it. Both Julian and Dahlia put up defenses to not look to closely at what they once had, but working together on a home renovation project, forces them to take a closer look at the love they once had and rekindle those flames...
What I Loved
Love Redesigned was a blast of fun in so many ways. First is the family elements. I love how both characters had such strong family connections. I feel like so many books now will have at least one character that doesn't have family bonds....but this one the families are also very close to each other despite the rivalry this couple has for each other lol I also enjoyed the cultural aspect of these Latino families and I feel like this author really did her research on it or its possible she is Latino (I don't focus on author's identities at all anymore) but I loved the Spanish wordings laid into this book like Easter eggs. I also had so many laughs in this story. The antics between these two were hilarious but I do think these antics were a double edged sword....while I was entertained .....I also had issues with them as well. Now the ROMANCE!!! The romance was a pure delight. When we had these quiet intimate moments between them when they started to trust each other again and be honest with one another ....the intimacy just grew between them. While the spicy scenes I am sure will be fun for some readers....what really got to me was their closeness, their openness with each other and this epic love between them that they hadn't fully embraced or even been able to have the maturity to truly fight for. The way they both see each other just leaped off the pages in such a moment stopping way that kept me eager for more. Seeing them reconnect and truly accept one another was so beautiful. And lets talk the ending. I was so NERVOUS for the ending, because of the way that the author was driving it .....but no worries the heroine chose right in the end. It showed that she was willing to give everything to the relationship just like our hero was willing to. And in the end it was better for her in the long run because it wasn't just for the hero, but for herself and her family and the ties she was forming in this town again. And we also got to see the sacrifices that led to unsuspected rewards in the end.
What I Struggled With
I know they are rivals and such but seriously did these two forget the memo they are supposed to be adults???? That they aren't teenagers anymore??? I feel like the hero was more adult than the heroine at times, but they still both acted ridiculous in so many ways. While I laughed hard at times, I didn't really enjoy these antics. I thought it was justice the heroine being put in jail with with the hero cause man what she was going to do to him on his own I thought was so cruel. Especially as you get later in the book......it just gave off immature and childish vibes in so many ways. Also some of the things mentioned in this book was political and didn't need to be in there at all. So I was disappointed in that and affected my rating. Maybe one day authors will realize books, especially romance books, don't need to push agendas. Us readers just want good stories. Now it wasn't super heavy or anything which is the only reason I didn't DNF.
Narration
BRILLIANT!!! The narration is what kept me going with this one to be honest. There were some moments I almost wanted to DNF but the narration had me so hooked into the story that I didn't want to put it down at all. I really appreciated the way that handled the accents and Spanish language just right and tones of emotion that fit this couple. If you love audiobooks, I highly recommend this author's audiobooks.
Overall View
Love Redesigned was a laugh out loud romance that kept me on my toes, engaged me from beginning to end and delivered in all the hearts and feels in the end.....captivating and real!!

Recommendation For Reading Order
You can read these as standalones, but for the other books in the series I would say you would want to read them in order for the small easter eggs of built up tension that is written.
Steam/Spice Explanations
Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.
Narrators:
Noah B Perez
Vanessa Vasquez
