I think think one was a case of "it's not you, it's me". Whilst I have really enjoyed the other books in this series, I struggled to with this one. And I hate that, as I am a real sucker for hockey books.
And I think the main reason was our leading lady Bree. I just couldn't connect with her, I didn't particularly like her, and I found her quite 2 dimensional and felt no character growth in her.
Ugh. I felt that even at the end of the book, we were still in the first stages of their story. And speakig of, I felt that the end was rushed. Everything that had been brewing through the book was just wrapped up with a nice little bow in about 10 pages.
But like I said, this could all just be me.
Me feelings on this book are an anomaly in the series for me, as I really have enjoyed the others.
I hope if there are more that I will get back to enjoying them.
