Defend the Dawn

adventurous
challenging
tense
medium-paced
This sequel was FANTASTIC!
A mysterious man from a neighboring Kingdom comes with promises to help with the Moonflower cure in exchange for steel. Tessa and Prince Corrick join him in his ship back to his part of the Kingdom. King Harristan also sends Lochlan (who hates Corrick) and some trusted guards.
There are deceptions, questions of trust and misleads, arguments between ship crew and Corrick's people, and so much more. We also see a new "vigilante" of sorts that seems to help the people who really need it, the Outlaw. I wake surprised when we find out who it actually is but I still felt giddy all the same.
The end! Omg, I need more now. That was such a crazy cliffhanger
