Oh My, Oh No!
by Lisa Charrier
Age: Preschool-Kindergarten
Family: Mom, daughter
Charrier presents the innocence of a little girl as her well-intentioned actions lead to her mother politely scolding her. I've been looking at this book over and over again to figure out why it's so blase for me. I think the softness of the illustrations clashes something fierce with the silliness of the story. Perhaps if it is read the right way then children will giggle along with this girl's interpretation of everyday activities.
