I am always a sucker for small town romances with forced proximity. LaRynn and Deacon had a summer fling years ago and is forced to work together to renovate a property owned by both their grandmothers. There's enemies vibes in the beginning and as they spend more time together, their feelings from the past bubbles up. This was a total slow burn and the tension, I was waiting impatiently for their moment. 

I wanted the characters to have a little more depth, they just felt very surfaced. I felt the same with the side characters.
