Marjorie goes through some tough stuff in this one. She’s trying to navigate her new friendship(???) with the girl that bullied her in the first book. The girl mostly bosses Marjorie around and forces her to hang out with her. Marjorie meets and starts to get close to Eliza who is on a mission to get a picture of a ghost. Speaking of ghosts, Wendall is getting tired of being stuck in the laundromat all the time so Marjorie has to worry about him getting out too! I wished Marjorie would have left the bully’s friend group sooner. I felt so bad for Eliza, she had such a hard time making friends and the embarrassment of being held back a year. This book addresses topics such as loneliness, bullying, and making friends with the wrong people.
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts
