Trade Deadline by Jodi Oliver
4.0

"I would burn the world for him and walk right into the flames."

Hockey definitely is becoming a favorite again.
Blaine & Alex make me want to jump right into hockey with everything, and I just might.
What do you get when a hockey playboy sets his sights on the reserved baker/graphic artist who makes him work for his attention? I definitely was not expecting what I got.

The way this story builds between Alex & Blaine was the right speed and not rushed at all. Nothing was left out and nothing was too much.
The past for Alex is one that was detailed just the right amount to understand the hesitance towards Blaine but also for anything resembling a relationship in general. Protecting himself was what key.
Blaine is in the hot seat and needs to stay out of it going forward. He never expected to be plastered all over the blogs by the puck bunnies but there it is and now his place on the team is at stake. The goal is to lay low and not attract attention until the trade deadline passes.

This book was honestly a surprise. I have never read anything from Jodi before but I am definitely going to now. Blaine & Alex were simply adorable and so cute. I enjoyed every second in this world and with Blaine & Alex but also getting the ground work of the Chicago Thunder team as well.
Whose to say who will be a favorite? I have plenty of questions.. on that.
Zach?
Elliot.. who I absolutely adore already!
Ethan.. we got a snippet but I feel like the feelings would come out tenfold with this captain.
Perfect way to end this book as well, it was soo sickly cute and adorable, I absolutely loved it.
