Drive Me Home by Carly Robyn
5.0

Thank you so much to the author Carly Robyn & @valentine_pr_ for the advance copy of this!

This book is out NOW!

This is the 3rd book in the Drive Me series and just like with the other two I am once again obsessed! I never think that I can fall in love more with the characters that Carly creates but sure enough she has me tapping my kindle to breeze through the book.

"She's the calm before the storm and the storm itself - lightning, thunder and rain all at once. She's all or nothing, and I want every single piece of her."

Charlotte has been such a breath of fresh air as a FMC. She is bubbly, funny, and great sense of style. I love how independent she is and carefree. She just does what she wants and figures it out as she goes. Her crush on Lucas is so cute! She will make these subtle remarks that come off as joking but us as the reader knows she likely is totally serious in them. I just love strong her personality is and that she always can turn a sour situation into something humorous. I know I mentioned above about falling in love with the characters but with Charlotte, I truly loved her! I saw a little bit of myself in her and someone who I wish I could be more like.

Lucas. Oh sweet Lucas. He looks rough and tough on the outside but inside he is a golden retriever who has it down bad for his best friend’s sister. Just like with Charlotte, he makes the comments that are give off flirtatious vibes. He is super protective of her and is jealous whenever someone shows any sort of remote interest in her. Also don’t get me started on how he is in tune with her when he notices her blood sugar getting low 🥹

Before the tension of their feelings for one another came to a head, I love the little moments that they shared. Who knew shopping for personal perfume would be so swoony?! So many times I found myself smiling ear to ear at their banter and just Charlotte being Charlotte. I love how they each complimented each other!

"Don't skip it just because I don't like it. It's your cologne."
"Why would I create a scent you don't like? If I did, then you'd be less inclined to hang out with me."

I also love how all Lucas wanted for Charlotte is to have her shine. He was so supportive of her talent and her aspirations. I have to imagine any sibling that isn't a famous one feels some sort complex of being in their shadow. And I love how Carly doesn't shy away from the fact that Charlotte is known as "Theo's sister" but that Charlotte wants to be more than just that.

This could be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the others because they are also so great!

I am very sad to see this series end but Carly confirmed that she is writing another sports romance series and I will be impatiently waiting for that announcement!! I *think* I know who and what it could be 👀
