dark reflective slow-paced

When I bought this book, I thought that it was about someone who was a member of the People's Temple. In fact, it is about a legal delegation belonging to Congressman Leo Ryan of which the author was a member. They went to Jonestown to check things out and see if people were in decent condition and willing to stay in the religion. As she was trying to leave, she was shot several times on the tarmac. She dedicated the rest of her life to changing laws to protect people and advance people's rights. This was a good book.
