I really loved this second installment of the Lovelight series! I adore Beckett and Evie in so many ways. They had a one night stand months prior, didn't see or speak to each other after that and thought they never would again, until Evelyn St. James comes to town for Beckett's business partner's contest entry. She goes home after the contest, realizes she isn't happy with her current life and she decides to return to the town where she last felt happy. This book features second chances, close proximity, found family, celebrity, cute animals, a tattoed hero and of course, small town romance. I love how much of an animal lover Beckett is and how he just can't help himself when it comes to adopting the next little animal in need of a home. Even though I read this book at the end of summer/beginning of fall, it definitely gave me spring vibes. Ever since their one night stand, Beckett and Evie haven't been able to stop thinking about each other, so there is a LOT of mutual pining and tension off the charts. Beckett and Evie are such a cute couple whose chemistry is so easy to see, and their dynamic is wonderful. And the cover? Absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait for the third book in the series!
