Every time I finish another Totally Awesome Hulk volume I like Amadeus even more, and these comics were no exception. While the last two volumes still commonly revolved around Bruce he isn't featured at all in these stories, which I was actually glad to see, since it solidifies that Amadeus isn't only defined by his connection to the original Hulk.

Instead, Amadeus's relationships with other people and heroes, specifically Asian-American ones, are shown in these issues, and I really enjoyed seeing Amadeus interact with friends like a typical and somewhat carefree teenager for a brief time before having to hero up again.

His focus on wanting to cause as little death and destruction as possible shows that he is trying to grow and not let anger and impulsivity control him as it has a few times before, and even with all the loss he's faced and as tough as he is he's still clearly idealistic and I hope that part of him doesn't change, though I fear that it will.
