Silver in the Wood
by Emily Tesh
Don't mind me, I'm just off to find my own buff long-haired faerie man to build me a cottage in the woods with his dryad friends :)
Can we just talk about the atmosphere in this book though? Because like wow I want to crawl into the pages of Silver in the Wood and live there. That and the characters were definitely the best part; I loved all the times Silver would be rambling excitedly about all the legends of the Green Man and Tobias would just kinda smile to himself, that was adorable and hilarious. Silver as a whole was adorable and hilarious and I loved where the plot took him in the end. In terms of plot, it did feel a bit rushed. I wished this had been even just 20 pages longer so we could have spent more time with the emotional side of things during the climax of the story, I think it would have been a lot more impactful if we'd had more time in Tobias' head while everything was going down. But either way, this was a pretty good read and I'm looking forward to the sequel!
