The Girl on the Train
by Paula Hawkins
When I first saw that Tess Gerritsen reviews this book saying that it was, "So thrilling and tense and wildly unpredictable, it sucked up my entire afternoon. Not to be missed," I was SO excited to read this! I immediately told my reading buddy that we should read it together, and we seem to have the same reaction about it... The book was pretty hard to get into. I thought that it was pretty boring until the quarter of the book (the very last few chapters were very Tess Gerrisen-esque). Throughout the book, I was really disliking the main characters and hated the things that they were doing. At one point, one of the characters said, "Why am i doing this? What purpose does it serve?" and I was thinking EXACTLY! This book is worth reading, but in my opinion, the great ending doesn't make up for the slow beginning.
