Honestly, it felt like the characters that were built up in Lightlark and Nightbane felt bland? Oro became blinded by love and that made him one-dimensional. Grimm had growth as a character, as in mending his relationship with Isla. Isla can’t decide what she wants and is torn between two people.
Honestly, I didn’t like how things were brought up. We see things happening mainly through Isla’s perspectives and still have no idea what she’s thinking. There was no moment when I felt like I could solve a puzzle or even know what the riddle was referring to because we weren’t given the information until the event happened and then got a blip about what Isla did behind the scenes.
