Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey
by Fiona Carnarvon
informative
medium-paced
This is the continuation of the Lady Almina book by the same author. Catherine Wendell married Lady Almina's son, becoming the Sixth Lady Carnarvon. Lady Catherine became Lady of the House during a time when a lot of estates and great homes were in failure after World War I. It took a lot of ingenuity to be able to make the homes fiscal and in the black. I really enjoyed this book, and it would be great for those who are fans of Downton Abbey.
