2.5-3 stars - This was such a cute idea for a book, but it didn’t quite work for me. I love a curvy heroine, sister witches, and the beautiful cover! I felt like the magic system and world building left some things to be desired… and I didn’t love that it was written from their perspective like they were talking to you. The romance was cute and at times I really enjoyed it… but it also felt pretty “instalove”, especially with neither type of magic being explained. I felt like the side characters were a bit superfluous, they weren’t really in the book at all until things started happening with the heist. They felt sort of random. I loved the idea, it just didn’t quite work out in practice for me.
