Firekeeper's Daughter
by Angeline Boulley
This was such an amazing book. I’m so sad that I took so long to read it. It was so hyped that I kept putting it off. This one was definitely worth the hype! There’s so much culture in this book that made it so unique to me. I’m really glad that I went into this book blind because I don’t know that I would have picked it up. Crimes and thriller-type books are my least favorite genre. I just have a really hard time being surprised but this one kept me on my toes. There were some things that seemed really predictable but there were some twists that I was not expecting!
“Inaction is a powerful choice”
This book is dark and full of triggers. I was surprised with it being a YA novel. Overall, I was hooked from the beginning. The writing is so beautiful and done so well that I couldn’t put it down. I felt so many emotions and I loved the community aspect of this book too. A very wonderful read that I highly recommend!
