The Handmaid's Tale
by Margaret Atwood
3,5/5
Although this was a required English Literature read, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, it still didn't blow me away.
This was an increeeedibly slow read for me. It's quite a short book, but the phrases were so long and the plot got so uninteresting at certain points that I would literally have to force myself to finish the chapter.
The premise of the story is certainly unique, and, most of all, believable. What didn't work for me was the execution and the way in which it was presented.
