The prose in this book was stunning the way she writes and encapsulates this time was so well done. I really loved studying the poem “my last duchess” and think that this book does such a great job extrapolating on that and changing the story. The narrative structure was clever though could be confusing at times. Really disliked how rushed and predictable the ending was though.
